There are different definitions describing the meaning of  Innovative Research as follow: 

• Innovative Research a cross disciplinary science that focuses on the analysis of how the new comes into being. New can mean products, services, processes or combinations thereof. Innovative Research can focus on single or multiple actors and their role within innovation systems.

• Innovative Research is concerned with presenting new and innovative ideas. Often an Innovative Research has the potential to provide new insight and proposals that help changing the way we look to things.

• Innovative Research involves mapping solutions, whether these solutions to a current problem or proposing a new idea to enhance the way we live.
• Innovative Research is not Innovative Research when we follow traditional research tehcniques. Rather it deals with using different methods such as “brainstorming, ideation, product development research, or similar techniques” to be classified as an Innovative Research and test concepts within your research scope and context.
