يهتم تخصص الحاسوب بدراسة علم الحاسوب ومكوناته وبرمجياته وأنواعه وهكذا. حيث يمتلك الحاسوب القدرة على تنفيذ مجموعة من الإجراءات بشكل تلقائي وصحيح، وبالتالي اخراج النتائج وتخزين الكثير من البيانات والمعلومات وكذلك اجراء العمليات الحسابية المعقدة، حيث يتمكن الفرد من خلال الحاسوب تصفح الانترنت ولعب الألعاب وارسال الرسائل الالكترونية. ولا شك أن أغلب العلوم والتخصصات تحتاج من طلابها أن يستخدموا الحاسوب وذلك لإجراء الدراسات والواجبات المطلوبة منهم على أكمل وجه، ولا سيما أن الحاسوب يساعد الطلاب في إيجاد الحلول المناسبة للأسئلة التي تواجههم وذلك على نحوٍ سريع وصحيح ودقيق. لذا، لقد أصبح تخصص الحاسوب من أهم التخصصات التي من شأنها تزود طلابها المعلومات التي بدورها أن تساعده على اكتشاف العلوم وكذلك إيجاد الحلول للمشكلات التي تواجه الفرد والمجتمع بكافة أنواعها. حيث يحتوي هذا المقال على العديد من الدراسات التي تتناول مواضيعًا متعلقة بتخصص الحاسوب كانت قد كتبت بأيدي طلاب تخصص الحاسوب.
